Optum, a global leader in healthcare technology under UnitedHealth Group, is looking for a Software Engineer – RPA (UiPath) to join their Automation Technologies Support team. This role focuses on RPA infrastructure engineering, ensuring production and non-production environments are optimized for automation workflows.

You will be working on UiPath Orchestrator, Windows servers, Azure environments, databases, and monitoring tools to ensure smooth operations and upgrades. The role requires strong technical expertise combined with problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities:

• Perform health checks on production and non-production servers.
• Provision and maintain Windows servers and VDIs.
• Participate in PLM activities such as Windows, UiPath Orchestrator, PEGA, and database upgrades.
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell or other scripting technologies.
• Provide end-to-end support for UiPath Orchestrator in production and non-production environments.
• Perform impact analysis, troubleshooting, and error resolution for infrastructure defects.
• Manage and maintain automation-related databases, including archival and health checks.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to estimate costs and gather requirements for RPA services.
• Set up and manage monitoring alerts using Splunk, Elastic, or Kibana.
• Support QA testing activities and ensure robust deployment.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, business analysts, and developers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of IT experience with at least 2 years in RPA infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience in UiPath Orchestrator (installation, upgrade, troubleshooting).
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server setup and support.
• Practical experience in Python programming and automation scripting (e.g., PowerShell).
• Familiarity with AI tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• Knowledge of SQL databases (preferably SQL 2019).
• Experience in system admin lifecycle: requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deliver on deadlines.

Preferred:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with UiPath, PEGA, and Azure stack.
• Knowledge of Splunk, Elastic, or monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools is a plus.
